A complaint was received that the axle damper produced an unusual noise while driving. An investigation and analysis was requested.

Test overview

The movement of the damper before installation and the movement of the damper when installed on the actual vehicle was measured and verified on actual roads with a professional driver.
As a result, the two component vibrations (frequencies) applied to the damper were identified and the reproduction of the noise in the bench test was verified.
The diagram below shows a modal analysis graph of the identified movements, which will be included in the report as a video clip.
