■ EUT

Vehicle detectors and lane markers

■ Test conditions

[Reference standard] IEC 60721-3-4 (JIS C 60721-3-4) Classification of environmental conditions, classification of environmental parameters and their severity by group, conditions for outdoor fixed use.
[ Mechanical conditions ] Classification 4M4, 4M5 (see table below)
[ Direction of excitation ] 3 directions
Mechanical conditions
This classification applies to locations protected against vibration and shock.
[4M3] This classification applies to locations where, in addition to the conditions of 4M14M2, the equipment is protected against vibration but is subject to the transmission of shocks, e.g. blasting or pitting.
[4M4 ] This classification is in addition to the requirements of 4M3 and applies to places where vibrations are transmitted from machinery or passing vehicles.
[4M5 ] This classification applies to locations where, in addition to the conditions of 4M4, large shocks are transmitted from nearby machinery or transport levels.
