Vibration test of battery packs for electric vehicles 2

  • Automotive parts
  • Vibration test case study
  • Sine (resonance point search)
  • UN ECE R100

Test overview

■ Purpose

To verify the structural integrity of battery packs by carrying out various tests such as sine wave, random, etc.
*Test state images are below.

■ Test conditions

-Resonance exploration
-UN ECE R100 Sine wave vibration test
-5-200 Hz random vibration test
-Sine half-wave Shock
-Measurements are carried out by attaching 15 strain gauges and 10 accelerometers to the inside and outside of the EUT.
-Combined temperature and vibration testing is also available. (Internal dimensions 2500 × 25000 × H2000 mm)

■ Safety solutions

  1. Battery voltage is monitored and the test is automatically stopped if there are any fluctuations.
  2. Strain and acceleration values are monitored and the test is automatically stopped if there is a deviation from the threshold values.
  3. Fire extinguishers and scrubbers are deployed.
  4. Low SOC testing.
