IMV Honored by JAXA for Contribution to GOSAT-GW
We are honored to have received a letter of appreciation from the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) in recognition of our contribution to the Greenhouse Gases and Water Cycle Observation Technology Satellite “GOSAT-GW (Ibuki GW)” project.

GOSAT-GW is an Earth observation satellite designed to monitor greenhouse gases and the global water cycle, and was successfully launched on June 29, 2025.
Over several months, we supported the project by assisting in balance adjustments to reduce vibration caused by the rotation of the high-performance microwave radiometer installed on the satellite.
This recognition reflects our contribution to the project through these testing-related efforts.
The satellite has now entered stable operation and is being used to collect environmental observation data.
On March 4, members of the JAXA GOSAT-GW project team, including Project Manager Yasushi Kojima, visited our Uenohara Advanced Test Center (Yamanashi Prefecture) and presented the letter of appreciation along with a commemorative plaque to our engineer, Shigetoshi Shimada. We are truly honored to have been involved in such an important project.
We will continue to contribute to the advancement of space development through reliability evaluation testing, including vibration testing.
