We participated in the Asia-Pacific Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction (APMCDRR 2024) hosted by the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR), held from October 14 to 18.
At a partner event organized by the Cabinet Office, Yasuhiro Okuda from the MES Business Division delivered a presentation.

During his presentation, Mr. Okuda introduced the ISO standard for seismometers (ISO 37174), issued in February 2024, and shared case studies on the application of seismometers in both the Philippines and Japan.

Following this, Ms. Liza B. Silerio, Vice President of SM Supermalls, which has deployed numerous IMV seismometers, presented on how they utilize the devices within their facilities. She also acknowledged IMV as a key partner company.

At the APMCDRR 2024, a concurrent exhibition was held where IMV showcased and introduced its seismometers at the “TEAM BOSAI JAPAN/JICA” and “ARRISE PHILIPPINES” booths. This provided an excellent opportunity for many attendees, including disaster management officials from the Philippines, to learn about IMV’s seismometers.
